GLENCOE SHOOTS 300 AND OPENS PACIFIC CONFERENCE WITH A VICTORY
On a sunny 78 degree day the Glencoe Crimson Tide opened Pacific Conference play with an impressive team score of 300 and a first place finish. Tide junior Brody Landaker also won the individual stroke play portion of the tournament with a two under par round of 70. Playing at the par 72 Michelbook Country Club in McMinnville, Landaker closed his round with three straight birdies and finished the back nine at five under par and a score of 30. Landaker's only blemish on the scorecard was a triple bogey eight on the par 5 5th. Glencoe had three other players shoot in the 70's. Fellow junior Emmet Meiers finished 3rd with a round of 74. Junior Owen Irving and Sophomore Calvin Johnson tied for 7th at 78. Finishing second behind Glencoe in team action was Sherwood at 309 and third place Newberg shot 330.
