Ramberg Saves One of His Best for Last
Isaac Ramberg played some beautiful golf on day 2 of the 2022 6A High School Golf
State Championships at Trysting Tree Golf Club. Along with the best weather day of the season Ramberg fired his second best round of his high school career with a 5 over par 76 at the par 71 course in Corvallis. Staring on the 10th hole under bright warm sunny skies, the Glencoe senior opened with six pars in a row before making a birdie on 16 (his 7th hole) to go one under par. Ramberg gave that stroke right back on the next hole with a bogey. He closed his front nine with a par going out at even par 36. On the front he hit 7 out of 9 greens in regulation and had 16 putts.
On his back nine he couldn't find as many greens and the putter wasn't quite as hot as he went five over 40 and the final tally of 76.
Ramberg moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard and finished the two day tournament tied for 45th out of 91 participants.
Summit High School from Bend won the team competition.

RAMBERG CLAIMS STATE BERTH
Glencoe senior Isaac Ramberg was faced with the possibility of Monday's Regional at Stone Creek Golf Club being his last high school golf tournament. Sunset, Beaverton and Grant claimed the three teams spots to state.
The State Championships run Monday and Tuesday May 16 & 17. 6A tee times start at 12:30.
