THERE IS A SUN
It appears the winter golf season is over! Under bright sunny skies the Crimson Tide and the rest of the Pacific Conference boys golf teams, finally played a full round of golf in pleasant conditions. At the par 72 6400 yard Meriwether National Golf Club, Glencoe finished in the familiar thrid place spot shooting a round of 329. Sherwood won the tournament at 320 followed by Newberg's 325. Sophomore Emmet Meiers led the Tide for the second straight week finishing fourth as an individual with a round of 78. Meiers finished strong with two birdies in his last three holes. Junior Cohen Barackman had an interesting round. Barackman was 9 over par after eight holes and then proceeded to shoot one over par the final 10 holes to card an 82.
The Tide wraps up conference play next Tuesday at Quail Valley Golf Club in Banks and closes out the regular season with the Regional Tournament Thursday May 4th at Stone Creek Golf Club in Oregon City. |

Tide JV Finish 8th at McNary Varsity Invitational
The Glencoe JV squad participated in the McNary Invitational on Friday at McNary Golf Club. The Tide was led by junior Casyn Bardos who shot a 92. Bardos had one previous varsity round under his belt, however the four other players were competing in their first varsity tournament. The Tide shot a combined 376. Camas High School from Washington state won the event with a team score of 318. The Tide JV will wrap up the 2023 season at Quail Valley Golf Club on Tuesday.
