TIDE TO PLAY FOR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Glencoe Crimson Tide shot a team score of 321 to finished second once again to the Sherwood Bowmen, who took first with a score of 304. The Tide was led by junior Emmet Meiers who fired a 4 over par 76 and tied for third in the individual portion of Monday's fifth round of Pacific Conference action at Meriwether National Golf Club. Junior Owen Irving tied for 7th with a round of 79. The Tide's number one player Brody Landaker, who is has been hampered with a ailing back issue, tied for 9th at 80.
In next Tuesday's final round of conference action the Tide will have the opportunity play for its first conference championship since 2013. Glencoe must take the top spot next week at Quail Valley in order to have the chance at the conference title. If Sherwood finishes second to the Tide, the tiebreaker is the 5th players score. If the Tide takes first and Sherwood is lower than second, then the Tide wins the conference outright.
