THE TIGERS EDGE THE TIDE BY ONE STROKE
The Glencoe Crimson Tide shot a team score of 308 on Monday at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Newberg and finished second to the Tigers of Newberg who fired 307 to claim the first place points in round three of Pacific Conference Boys golf action. Newberg senior Ray Greller claimed co-medalist honors with an even par round of 72. Greller's younger brother Luke was third with a three over round of 75. Glencoe juniors Brody Landaker, Emmet Meiers and Owen Irving finished in a tie for 4th with rounds of 76. Sophomore Tyler Rogers had solid comeback on the back nine shooting a 37 to recorded a career low of 80 and finish just outside of the top 10 at 11. Fellow sophomore Calvin Johnson rounded out the Tide scoring with an 83. With Monday's the second place finish the Tide is now in a first place tie with Newberg in the overall league standings.
The Tide JV squad led by JV Co-Medalist Will Bothwell's 42 took first place edging Sherwood 190-191.
The Tide is now half-way through Pacific Conference action. Round four is Monday April 15th at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club. First Tide tee time is 11:00 am.
