PACIFIC CONFERENCE SEASON ENDS AT QUAIL VALLEY
The Glencoe golf team wrapped up the conference season with a 3rd place finish and shooting a team score of 345. Monday's action concludes the six rounds of conference tournaments. The Tide was led by freshman Emmet Meiers round of 82 followed by senior Isaac Ramberg's 83. Freshman Owen Irving carded his career best at the par 72 Quail Valley with an 87. Cohen Barackman shot 93 and Brody Landaker was at 96. The Crimson finished 4th in the final Pacific Conference Standings and earned a berth in the Regional Tournament next Monday at Stone Creek Golf Club in Oregon City. In a ceremony at the conclusion of Monday's tournament Newberg was crowned the conference champion and Tide players Isaac Ramberg and Emmet Meiers were named 2nd team all conference.
The regional at Stone Creek is comprised of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams from the Pacific Conference, Metro League and PIL. It also includes the top 4 individuals from each conference that are not on a qualifying team. From the regional event three teams and the top three individuals not a part of those three teams will qualify for the State Championships May 14 & 15 at Trysting Tree in Corvallis.
